As a family we decided that every decision had to be 100% unanimous regarding mom. My dad, who is very religious, kept saying God was going to save her. The hardest thing I've ever had to do was convince my dad that God wasn't going to save her. How do you tell your father that the God he fully trusted all his life was not going to answer his prayer? Finally he agreed to stop the dialysis and let mom die. It took 11 days before she passed away. It was 5 months since that fateful night at emergency.  Mom had exclaimed that she doesn't even feel unusual….and was her usual chatty friendly self even as the nurse checked her in. Long story short…mom's blood pressure bottomed out after she was given the medicine to slow her heart down. She started having a seizure and went into cardiac arrest. Twice she had to have paddles used on her to restart her heart. The news was grim….they felt she was going to probably die. She didn't.
